Editor Christian Ryan’s meticulous picture research uncovered a treasure trove of archival and contemporary photographs, many of which required extensive retouching. Elegantly restrained typography, generous use of white space and a metallic gold add a sense of quality and prestige, fitting for a book of considerable stature.
